The Canalys Channels Forum is a major event for IT channel partners across the APAC region. The event works to bring together major technology vendors, distributors and resellers to discuss industry trends, create sales opportunity and forge new business relationships. This year the event was held in Taipei, Taiwan from 2-5th December 2019 and David Cameron attended to represent Diverse Services.

Day 1: 3rd December

After arriving the evening prior and checking into the hotel, the first day was full of exciting sightseeing adventures.  Gathering early at the hotel lobby, the group headed to Jioufen to explore. This small town was relatively isolated although quickly developed due to the gold rush in the early 1900s. During the Qing Dynasty, the village housed nine families where ‘nine portions’ were often requested when shipments arrived to the small town – later becoming the name of the village. The tour of Jioufen continued with a stop at The Amei Teahouse for a delicious lunch before the next activities began. These included a visit to the Longshan Temple and also the Taipei 101 Observatory, being one of the world’s tallest buildings at a height of 508 metres high. The group continued onto a late dinner at 101 Ding Xian, one of Taipei’s finest seafood restaurants before finishing up the day with a visit to the Shilin Night Market.

The theater, panel session and 1 on 1 meetings continued today through to lunch time, the final opportunity for guests to meet with representatives from vendors, distributors and resellers. After lunch, the Channel Expert Sessions, Candefero Channel Partner of the Year Awards Ceremony and closing keynote concluded the event.
