Due to recently achieving Gold status in our Lenovo partnership, an opportunity presented itself for one lucky staff member to attend the Viva Las Vegas Enterprise Incentive trip. This exciting trip consisted of an action-packed itinerary in Las Vegas from 22nd – 26th September. Our Account Manager Michael was selected for the trip, along with other industry partners and both Lenovo and Dicker Data representatives.

Day 1: Sunday 22nd

After completing the domestic journey from Perth to Melbourne, the international journey began with the flight over the pacific into Los Angeles’ famous LAX and then the final leg into Las Vegas. After landing the transport was ready and waiting to take guests to the Cosmopolitan Hotel for check in and lunch at China Poblano located on Level 2 of the Boulevard Tower. After a free afternoon to explore the Las Vegas strip, the group joined again for a dinner feast at Bazaar Meat by José Andrés to complete the first day.

Day 2: Monday 23rd

After the first night in Las Vegas, breakfast was served at leisure in Wicked Spoon restaurant also located on level 2 of the Chelsea Tower before the guests made their way to the hotel lobby for their unique transportation. After hopping in an authentic US Military HMMWV (Humvee), the group was transported to Battlefield Las Vegas which is a five-acre military style shooting range complex. Being immersed in a realistic military setting, attendees had the opportunity to shoot the largest collection of US and foreign weapons available including firearms dating back to World War I and the NATO forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Guests were also able to check out the fleet of over 25 military vehicles and aircrafts from World War II and various carriers used in conflicts from Vietnam to present day.

Following the activity, guests were driven to Rolling Smoke BBQ for a taste of authentic southern style BBQ. With the venue offering a range of items from smoked wings to extra-large sandwiches and trios of meat, there was something on the menu for everyone. Another free afternoon was given to guests before meeting up again for another dinner feast, this time being at infamous Gordon Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen. Guests were treated to a three-course meal consisting of pan seared scallops, beef wellington and coffee date pudding.

Day 3: Tuesday 24th

After a free morning to grab breakfast and witness the Las Vegas strip during the daylight, guests rounded up in the hotel lobby for transfer to another exciting activity. The vehicle escorted guests to the airstrip at Henderson Executive airport where they boarded an ECO-Star EC-130 helicopter. The journey to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon consisted of views of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, and Fortification Hill (Extinct Volcano). After descending 3500 feet into the canyon and landing on a plateau overlooking the Colorado River, guests were treated to snacks and beverages whilst taking in the scenery. The journey back to South Las Vegas displayed stunning views of the Black Canyon. Taking a breather to freshen up, the group headed to the famous Bellagio Hotel for their dinner at the Le Cirque restaurant to finish off an adventurous day.

Day 4: Wednesday 25th

The last adventurous day on the trip was definitely no disappointment with a range of exciting activities lined up. After another free morning to explore and stock up on souvenirs, the group made their way to the High Roller Observation Wheel. It was an experience to soar 550 feet above the centre of the Las Vegas Strip on the world’s tallest observation wheel, with sweeping 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Valley and The Strip. A range of drinks and canapes were provided during the full 30-minute rotation to completely take in the beautiful views.

The final night gave the group an opportunity to break out the suit and fancier dress as they were on their way to the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Beginning with another three-course dinner at the Hakkasan restaurant, the group attended the Cirque du Soleil show called . The highly reviewed show is described as “the coming of age of a young man and a young woman through their encounters with love, conflict and the duality of , the fire that can unite or separate, destroy or illuminate.”

Day 5: Thursday 26th

The final wind-down day provided the opportunity to relax by the pool, take a final wander along the famous Strip, say our goodbyes and prepare for the long trip home. The group couldn’t miss the opportunity to have a late lunch at the In and Out Burger outlet in Vegas before departing. It was well worth it! Now making their way to Las Vegas airport in the afternoon, the journey home began.
