Our response to COVID-19

Dear valued customers,

Our management team is continually monitoring the COVID-19 developments. We’re undertaking a number of initiatives to ensure the health and safety of our people, our clients and the wider community, and to provide continuity of service to our clients.

We have acted on the advice provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Australian Department of Health regarding social distancing and self-isolation. Firstly, we have locked down our office on St Georges Terrace with parking under the building and a barrier provided by restricted elevator access to the floor. A further locked door to enter the office itself means that the few essential staff who are still working from the office are isolated and protected as necessary. We have ensured that all staff have the means to work remotely with most having done so for the past few days and will continue to do so until further notice. Please be rest assured that our people are still dedicated, committed and will continue to be available to meet the needs of our clients, partners and vendors.

Travel

We have cancelled or postponed all non-essential business travel arrangements of our people, and will continue to review this policy in accordance with guidance from relevant authorities.

Engaging with clients

We have the facilities to offer our clients virtual meeting options in place of onsite, face-to-face meetings. Our Account Managers, SME’s, Senior Engineers and Security teams are available to discuss any concerns and/or ideas you may have regarding the current situation or assist with preparing for what is to come. We encourage you to take up these options and speak to your Diverse Services contact for details on how to connect virtually.

Ensuring operational readiness and safety

As we monitor the coronavirus developments carefully, our team has moved swiftly to minimise operational disruption whilst staying compliant and focusing on the safety of the community.

We’ve taken initiatives to encourage vigilance at work and at home, and to allow for social-distancing, including:

  • remote work for staff and virtual meetings with clients where possible, supported by our robust IT infrastructure system;

  • good hygiene and safety practices across the offices and laboratories, with extra hand-sanitising units in place;

  • no sharing of commonly used equipment, such as laptops, phones and tools;

  • ceasing all domestic and international air travel.
