Diverse Services is proud to be a recurring sponsor for Putt4Dough, the annual IT charity golf day held at Joondalup Resort. The event is targeted at Perth’s IT and telecommunications industries where players swing for charity to raise essential funding for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation. It’s a fun day out for golfers of any skill level to get on the green and give it their best shot during the 4-person Ambrose competition. We’re pleased to announce that we have contributed more than $11,000 towards this event!
Taking over Joondalup’s 27-hole champion golf course, over 100 golfers including the two Diverse teams rolled up on the morning of Tuesday 19th November for the 10th anniversary of Putt4Dough. With registration commencing from 11am, our teams were able to drop their bags, have some pre-game snacks at the club house and get fitted in their Putt4Dough polo shirts and Diverse caps ready to hit the green.
After a quick briefing session and a group photo, all teams were assigned to their golf buggies and were off for the shotgun start in what would be an afternoon of some heroic golfing moments and some embarrassing tales.

The Diverse Teams
We had two teams competing in the competition, one in green and one in the Diverse orange! Meet the teams below.

Our two teams started off at the back of the course on the Lake course crossing to the Dune. Whilst both teams started off strong with a promising scorecard, as the afternoon went on and the beers kicked in, reality set in. There were a couple casualties of the day including lost golf balls in the bushes and the lake, along with a broken shoe to top things off. Our orange team even happened to win the wooden spoon award for “encouragement”. It was a fun afternoon for all the players, and for an event better cause!
The Evening Festivities
At 5pm once the teams headed back in their buggies towards the clubhouse, our golfers had the chance to relax with a drink at the bar outside the Lakeside Ballroom. The ballot and auction items were on display here for guests to place their bids on a range of fantastic prizes. Guests headed inside the ballroom for a lovely dinner whilst listening to the opening address and sponsor acknowledgement. Speeches were delivered by Chris Marshall, the event organiser for the past 10 years, as well as some other prominent guests. The special guest speaker for this year was Matthew Pavlich, who gave a speech about leadership and his time playing in the AFL.
The 10th anniversary for Putt4Dough raised more than $75,000 for the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation to assist with a new machine to help babies who suffer from retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). We are proud to say that along with our sponsorship package for the event, auction items, ballot items and raffle tickets, that we have contributed more than $11,000 towards this event helping this great cause.
